Strook, the work of Bruges-based artist, Stefaan De Croock, is unique and ingenious. His signature collage art in particular is both compelling and mystifying. It causes viewers to take a startled second look as the familiar shapes of the designs as they come into focus via unusual combinations of reused mediums, such as old wood doors and concrete slabs. “It is a challenge for me to experiment and try out new mediums,” Stefaan tells us. “It was the beauty of the textures of the found materials that all started [Strook].”
